Bloomers and Underpinnings

Bloomers are not period (they were invented in the 19th Century by a Mrs. Bloomer, I believe), but they are so indisputably useful that we permit them. Use the pants pattern and make them out of lightweight fabric, perhaps adding some lace around the cuffs.

There are a number of other underpinnings that may or may not be necessary, depending on the look you want your character to have. Ladies require quite a bit more underclothing than wenches.
